Where your recipes live
Recipe text, meal plans, reusable menus, explicitly saved nutrition mappings, pantry selections, preferences and checked shopping items are saved in local storage for this website in your browser. They are not sent to a Krayv recipe server. Anyone with access to the same unlocked browser profile may be able to see them.
Backups matter
Clearing browser data, using a private browsing session or changing devices can remove or separate your cookbook. Use Backups to download a JSON file regularly. It contains the recipe text and your plan, so keep it somewhere appropriate. Import validates the file before asking you to replace the current workspace.
Data saved on a preview hostname does not automatically move to krayv.com or www.krayv.com. Export before switching addresses and import on the new address. Use the same canonical address consistently.
Network requests and hosting
The site and its local fonts and generated food images are served by Cloudflare. Your browser sends the ordinary connection information needed to load a website, such as IP address and browser headers. Cloudflare may process operational or security logs under its own policies. The personal workspace has no third-party advertising or analytics scripts, affiliate tracking or external recipe fetching. If you allow optional usage counts, the workspace sends only the limited categories described below to our own endpoint. Public-guide advertising, when active, is described below. Food searches and recipe calculations run locally using cached public USDA data. Barcode lookup sends only the barcode to the Krayv proxy and Open Food Facts. It does not send your cookbook or worksheet. Open Food Facts product data remains a separate source. Unsaved nutrition worksheets stay in memory for this tab. Choosing Save reviewed mappings stores the reviewed food records, source versions, gram amounts and missing coverage with the selected recipe; those mappings are included in cookbook backups. A calculation JSON is a separate record and is not a restorable cookbook. Delete saved mappings in the food desk or delete their recipe to remove them. Local recipe-import files are read on this device and are not uploaded; only the recipe fields you review and save enter the cookbook.
Clearing your workspace
Open Backups and choose Start fresh. Export first if you need a durable copy. Undo is available during the current session, but is not a replacement for a backup. Browser storage failure displays a warning and offers export; do not rely on an unsaved session.
Advertising
Advertising is currently off. Krayv does not load Google AdSense or Google consent messages, and no Google advertising cookie is created by this release. AdSense ownership verification alone does not load an ad script.
Optional first-party usage counts require your separate choice, described below. Your private recipe text, food searches, barcodes, filenames and source URLs are not sent to an advertising or analytics service by this workspace.
If advertising is activated after account and consent setup, only the six public workflow guides will load it. This section will display the active provider disclosure. The cookbook, personal results, help, legal pages and exported files will remain ad-free. You can save a browser-level advertising opt-out below now.
Your advertising choices
Advertising is off. You can save a browser-level opt-out for future visits.
Use Google advertising choices
This preference uses a single local-storage value, krayv.ads-disabled, with no identifier or expiry. It stays until you change it or clear this site’s browser data. It applies only to this browser and website address. Disabling ad loading does not delete existing Google cookies or change consent records already held by Google. When available, the Google choices link opens a public guide where you can withdraw European consent; the guide also offers the applicable Do not sell or share option. Opening that link removes the local ad-loading opt-out but does not grant Google consent. Browser controls can also remove cookies.
Optional usage counts
We ask before collecting product-usage counts, everywhere. Allowing them helps us see which tools people open, start and complete, where categorized errors occur, and whether downloads are initiated. You can refuse or turn them off without losing any feature. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track also keep collection off.
Optional usage counts are off until you choose to allow them.
Only fixed event names, tool and public-page categories, primary browser language, phone/tablet/desktop class, broad task-duration buckets and fixed error codes are sent to Krayv’s own /api/usage endpoint. The server adds the UTC day and combines events into daily counts in a Krayv-only Cloudflare D1 database. No raw event records are stored. The owner reads aggregate reports through the existing Cloudflare account.
We do not collect recipe or household values, files or filenames, text you enter, food queries, barcodes, URL queries or fragments, raw referrers, IP addresses, credentials or keystrokes in this analytics dataset. We do not record sessions, identify unique people, fingerprint devices, replay screens or add advertising identifiers. We do not collect country or referral source. Your browser and Cloudflare still process ordinary connection information to deliver requests, as described under hosting above.
The choice uses one local preference, krayv.usage-choice-v1, containing yes or no. It is not a visitor ID and stays until you change it or clear site data. Withdrawal stops future collection and attempts to cancel pending requests. Already combined counts cannot be linked back to you or individually removed. We keep daily counts for at most 330 days and excluded test counts for 7 days. Cloudflare’s recovery history may retain deleted aggregate counts for up to 30 additional days, still under 12 months. There is no historical backfill, and consented counts do not represent every visit or unique person.
Owner and testing exclusion
Exclude this browser from genuine usage counts while reviewing the site. This stores krayv.usage-excluded=1 locally, without sending an identifier. Clear this site preference to undo the exclusion.
External links and corrections
Opening a source link takes you to the provider’s website, where its own privacy practices apply. Read the Cloudflare privacy policy for hosting information. The help guide explains browser recovery, backups and how to inspect or correct source records. There is no file-upload support form or public recipe publishing in this version.
Privacy contact
For privacy questions about Krayv, email kout@me.com. Include the page and a description of your request. Please do not attach your cookbook backup or private recipe collection unless it is necessary and you have agreed to share it. Email is handled outside this browser; your email provider and the receiving mailbox process what you choose to send.
Moving between devices
There are no accounts or automatic cross-device saves in this version. Use a JSON backup to move your workspace. Any future change would require updated privacy information and appropriate user controls.
