Start with one meal.
- Choose Add a recipe. Paste a recipe you have permission to use, review its ingredient amounts and save it.
- Choose Plan this, select a date and set the number of servings.
- Open Shopping list for that week. Check the amounts, then use Kitchen copy / PDF to take it with you.
Import a recipe from a local file.
In Recipes, choose Import recipe. Paste Recipe JSON-LD or select a saved HTML/JSON file. If several recipes are found, choose one. Check the title, servings, cooking time, ingredients, method and source in the editable form, then save. The importer does not fetch website URLs or read arbitrary recipe prose. HTML files need a valid application/ld+json Recipe block. Nothing is saved before your review.
Reuse a weekly menu.
Plan your meals, open Weekly menus, and save the week by name. Preview it before adding it to another week. Leave Replace unchecked to add meals; check it only to replace that destination week. Delete a menu in the same panel, or use Undo to reverse the last change.
Keep reviewed nutrition mappings.
In Food data, choose a saved recipe, match its ingredients and review the weights. Save reviewed mappings keeps them with the recipe and its backups. Unsaved edits are temporary. If ingredients or original servings change, select the recipe again and rematch before saving. Missing ingredients keep the total Unknown. Delete saved mappings removes the saved set without deleting the recipe.
My recipes are missing on another device.
Your cookbook belongs to the browser profile and website address where you saved it. It does not sync automatically. On the original device, open Backups and choose Download backup. On the new device, choose the same website address, open Backups and select the JSON file. Review the counts before replacing the current workspace.
A preview address and krayv.com have separate storage. Export from the old address before moving. If browser data has already been cleared and no backup exists, Krayv has no server copy to recover.
I see “Not saved”.
Export a backup immediately while your current data is still visible. Browser storage may be full, blocked, or changed in another tab. If another tab changed the cookbook, reload before editing further. If saved data could not be read, use Download stored file in Backups to keep the original before restoring a valid backup or starting fresh.
A quantity looks wrong.
Open the recipe, choose Edit, then review the amount, unit and name. A range such as “1–2 tomatoes” remains uncertain until you choose a quantity. Salt to taste is deliberately unscaled. Grams and kilograms combine; cups and grams do not. Similar names are not automatically treated as the same ingredient. Read the grocery calculation guide for worked examples.
My PDF has not appeared.
Wait for “Your PDF is ready”, then check the browser’s downloads. The PDF is created on your device and contains no browser URL or print header. If the download fails, retry or use Print this view. The browser controls headers, footers and printer settings for that alternative. JSON backups are for restoring your cookbook; a nutrition calculation JSON is a separate record and cannot be restored as a cookbook.
Nutrition says Unknown.
Match every ingredient to the correct food, raw or cooked, and enter its edible gram weight or an exact listed portion. If any ingredient or nutrient is missing, the complete total remains Unknown. A known subtotal is only partial. The nutrition method explains coverage and calculation limits.
A packaged-food record needs correction.
Compare the barcode result with the physical package, then use View source and corrections to open its Open Food Facts record. Corrections happen with the source provider; Krayv does not silently change the published record. Missing allergen labels or automated dietary tags do not establish safety.
Contact Krayv.
Email kout@me.com for help, feedback or a correction to this site. Include the page name, your browser and the steps that led to the problem. This opens your email application; Krayv does not send anything automatically.
Keep your information private.
Do not post your backup or private recipe collection in a public support forum. Useful non-sensitive details when reporting a problem are the page name, browser version and steps needed to reproduce it. Remove recipe text and other personal information from screenshots. Read Privacy & backups for the actual services and storage used here.
