From meal plan to grocery list.
Plan recipes with the servings you need, then open Shopping list for that week. Each clear ingredient quantity is multiplied by planned servings divided by the recipe’s original servings. Matching ingredients are added together.
What combines, and what stays separate?
- 200 g rice + 0.5 kg rice → 700 g rice. Grams and kilograms are compatible mass units. Known unit spellings such as “grams” and “g” also combine, including units edited by hand.
- 250 ml milk + 1 l milk → 1,250 ml milk. Millilitres and litres combine.
- 1 cup flour + 100 g flour stay separate. Krayv does not guess ingredient density.
- 1 tbsp oil + 2 tsp oil stay separate. Spoon and cup conventions vary; the written unit is retained.
- Tomato and cherry tomatoes stay separate. Names match after trimming spaces and ignoring case. Krayv does not guess synonyms or substitutions.
Uncertainty belongs on the list.
“Salt to taste”, quantity ranges and unreviewed package sizes appear under Check these before shopping. Their original amounts are not scaled or merged. Use Review to correct the recipe, or decide the amount yourself before shopping.
Tick off, add extras, take it with you.
Tick ingredients as you shop. Add extras such as coffee or dish soap. Pantry matches are labelled for you to check, but never automatically subtracted: the app does not know your stock quantity or freshness. Open Kitchen copy / PDF for a typeset A4 sheet with grouped ingredients, real checkboxes, planned meals and a separate amount-review panel. A plain-text download remains available as a simple alternate.
A change in quantity deserves another check.
Checked status is tied to the week, ingredient and combined quantity. When you change serving sizes and the total changes, the item becomes unchecked so an old tick does not silently hide a new amount.
